GradChemBio Retreat 2026

Our annual GradChemBio Retreat is just around the corner! We’re excited to spend the day together with peers, exchanging ideas about science, discussing challenges, and sharing experiences about life as a PhD student. This year, an exciting canoe tour is also on the program!

If you are not yet part of the ChemBio Graduate School, be sure to register soon so you don’t miss this opportunity.
To apply, send an email to:

Please include your CV, research group, institute, starting and end day of your PhD.
Applications will be reviewed by the graduate school’s steering committee.

Stimuli-Responsive Silsesquioxane Nanozymes for Organocatalysis in Water and Prodrug Activation in Cells

Check out Rabia's newest paper! You can find the publication here: https://doi.org/10.1002/anie.8446184

In this work, the authers report ultrasmall, water-stable octa-amino silsesquioxanes as metal-free nanozymes prepared through a mild one-step sol–gel synthesis. These nanozymes show stimuli-responsive organocatalytic activity in water and can also activate a doxorubicin prodrug inside cancer cells, highlighting their potential for both catalysis and biomedical applications.
